Visit to Guardian Newsroom

On the Monday 26th February, Green Class visited The Guardian Newsroom.  Here is what they had to say about their visit…

We went on the bus to hear two authors. Vivian French told us that we were all authors when we wrote stories. She told us about the time her teacher tore up her very first story. She said that she loved talking and became an actress before she started writing again. She doesn’t put much punctuation in her stories when she first writes them but goes back afterwards, reads her stories out aloud and that helps her with the punctuation. She showed us how to write a story.

Jeremy strong was so funny when he talked about his favourite teacher. She was so beautiful that he was a little bit in love with her. She was the first person who encouraged him to write when he was eight years old.  He was fantastic when he read a story about the dog Streaker in just under one minute.

We had a £1World Book Day voucher and got a book each! We all had our books signed by our chosen author.

On the way back we read our books as we waited for the bus.

    Hi Martha and Green Blog

I would just like to congratulate you on your fantastic blog. I have been watching with great interest what green class have been up to during the last month. It’s good to see you have got the whole school involved, they will all catch the blogging bug soon. If you need any help with anything then let me know. Canada looked amazing! Once again well done.
