Bring in an old sock

As part of Science week, we are learning about our environment, in school and in the wider world. So far, we have been thinking about what we can do to protect the environment and how we can reduce, re-use and recycle things. On Wednesday, we are going to make sock puppets. We will be learning about ‘food miles’, working with Eco Active as litter detectives and having a session with the architects about the new school using a computer programme called ‘Sketch’.

Please bring in an old sock or two so we can re-use them and turn them into puppets!

Class Photographs…

Don’t forget to look gorgeous for the class photos on Tuesday 15th May.  If you want to have your photograph with a sibling please arrive at school at 8am, otherwise just turn up to school as usual.

Welcome Carley

Carley is training to be a teacher at The Institute of Education.  She is on her final teaching practice and is looking forward to working with Green Class over the Summer Term.

Podcasting – Stage 1…

Here we are having loads of fun recording each other.  Rebecca has been coming in to help us record using her mini-disk and microphone.  We are working on creating a podcast that you can listen to online.

Infant Singing Festival

It’s time to start learning the songs for the Infant Singing Festival.  The Infant Choir will be performing at the Round Chapel in July along with children from other schools in Hackney.  The songs are always really fun so we all learn them.  To listen to the songs click here, or use the link on the right of the screen.

Well done Green Class…

You have all been fab and working really hard on all of your assessments.  I’m proud of you all, especially being good for Jon.

If you could have a class pet, what would you have and why?
